Matthew has been working in the Financial Services industry since 1997. He graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance with an Economics minor. He spent the first five years at a full service brokerage firm and a mutual fund company’s field force uncovering many ways to help his clients in the financial services industry. While there, his business and professional relationships grew to a point where he knew, both personally and professionally, that it was in his clients best interest for him to seek a completely independent broker/dealer.

Matthew is one of the Managing Partners of Stout Bowman & Associates. He holds the professional designation of AWMA (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor). Matt is recognized as a local financial expert by FOX43 Morning news and has appeared numerous times on the TV news and in local newspapers and national magazines. Active in his community, he is a Past President Advisory Board Member of the KUSBDC where he delivered both free and fee seminars to small business owners. He is a member of, or former member of the Financial Planning Association, The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce.

Matthew lives in Mechanicsburg, and has three children, Hunter, Tanner and Alexis. He is a big Tennessee Titans and Miami Hurricanes Fan! If not volunteering with youth sports, he spends his time fishing, golfing, taking trips to the mountains or the beach, or anything in the great outdoors as this is his idea of having a good time!
