Tucker Royall
Tucker Royall Jr. was born in Palestine, Texas and has recently returned to East Texas, bringing a diversified legal and management background to the community. Tucker has extensive litigation experience throughout the state, having previously worked for a law firm specializing in real estate and oil and gas litigation.
In addition, Tucker has a strong background in the energy and environmental sectors, having worked as a landman and an advisor at the highest levels of state government. He served as an advisor to Governor Rick Perry and served as Special Counsel at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Commissioner Toby Baker before becoming General Counsel for TCEQ. As General Counsel, he served as statutory chief legal officer and ethics advisor to the agency.
He was also the Committee Director & General Counsel for the Texas Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development, where he advised the committee chair, members and staff on legal, legislative and political matters as well as crafted policy and drafted legislation in the areas of oil and gas, environmental regulation, and state economic development.
