- Overview
Christopher T. Aumais is a seasoned trial attorney in Los Angeles, who has significant experience in litigating eight and nine figure cases in State and Federal court.
Chris brings a distinctive international journey to his work as a trial attorney. After attending Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, where he played football, he went on to study law in Ireland, laying the foundation for a career defined by global perspective, discipline, and advocacy.
With a rare global perspective Chris has an effortless ability to connect with people to every facet of his practice. That combination has earned him the confidence of individuals and families facing some of life’s most challenging and uncertain moments.
After studying law in Northern Ireland, Chris further expanded his legal training through Cornell Law School’s International Law Program at the Sorbonne in Paris, France, before completing a summer externship with the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
He later earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Southwestern Law School. Fluent in English and French, Christopher brings a global outlook to his practice and builds meaningful connections with clients, witnesses and jurors alike.
Christopher focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury, traumatic brain injury, product liability, toxic torts, premises liability and wrongful death. A fierce and strategic advocate, he pairs meticulous preparation with compelling storytelling to pursue exceptional results for those who have suffered profound physical, cognitive, and financial harm.
Over the course of his career, Chris has played a key role in some of California’s most significant litigation, including traumatic brain injury matters involving former NFL players in landmark concussion cases. He has obtained multi-million-dollar jury verdicts and seven-figure settlements across a broad range of complex cases, and his work has twice earned him recognition as a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year.
Christopher believes that the practice of law carries a responsibility to the broader community. He is a dedicated supporter of Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC), where he and his daughter participate side-by-side in community outreach initiatives.
As Past President and active board member of the Irish American Bar Association, Christopher champions access to legal resources and supports international student exchange programs that help bridge global legal communities. He also serves as Treasurer of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).
